Bwindi Conservation for Generations Foundations’ main aim is to integrate conservation with social enterprises in order to improve livelihood whilst also teaching about the importance of conservation. Our organisation also runs a conservation hub where we have brought together all of our conservation products and those of the local farmers.
We run workshops for the women in order to teach them improved methods in tailoring and basket weaving as well provide the materials needed to make these products. This means that a higher percentage of the profit is able to go back to the individuals that make the items.
