We do much more than just conservation

Bwindi Conservation for Generations Foundation is a life changing organisation that focuses on blending conservation with social enterprises in order to improve the livelihood of the communities around Bwindi forest. We have set up a number of projects to inform the community about organic farming, sustainable entrepreneurship and conservation of local environment.

We know that Bwindi Impenetrable forest is of utmost importance to our communities, in terms of tourism as well as the unique ecosystem that is found here.  However, the current local knowledge and resources lack significantly and people are unable to find a sustainable income. Farming around the forest becomes ever more challenging, which causes more tension between the locals and the Bwindi Forest. Therefore, we have made it our purpose to promote eco-tourism, sustainable entrepreneurship, and organic farming in these communities.
